KS3 Curriculum

Our KS3 pupils follow the ‘Discovers Curriculum’ this is aimed around planning for the highest level of independence and skills for our pupils. This curriculum is different, not differentiated. The curriculum enables pupils to explore, discover and learn through high levels of repetition and develop the key skills to apply their learning in different contexts.

We use experiences and trips out of school to anchor topics in real life contexts, we have community links in which we are lucky enough to visit other settings and high schools to continue our learning. An example of this is having PE at an alternative high school. This allows our pupils to be challenged to a variety of sports as we have access to a large sports hall, dance studio, badminton court and a gym facility. There will be daily opportunities to rehearse key skills that will prepare children for life as caring and considerate citizens, they will be challenged to be the very best version of themselves.

Please see the curriculum tab to explore what we are learning this term.
